1. Open the My Computer icon on the desktop
2. Open the Dial-Up Networking icon, and select the appropriate phone book entry.
3. From the More button, choose the Edit entry and modem properties...
4. Select the Server tab, and verify the following:

-PPP, Windows NT, Windows 95 Plus, Internet is selected in the Dial-Up server type field.

-Only TCP/IP is selected under Network Protocols.

- Verify that Enable PPP LCP extensions is NOT selected.

Solution: Make sure that Enable PPP LCP extensions is not selected.
